Organic fabric & ethical supply chain

breastfeeding pajamas production

Pyjamam sleepwear is created from the high-quality fabric NILCOTT® produced by NIL Textile, manufacturer of Pyjamam.

Based in Europe, the whole production process is done locally and through a completely transparent supply chain.

NILCOTT® fabric is made from 100% organic cotton made in Europe and GOTS-certified.

Organic & eco-responsible

Indeed, this fabric's organic cotton yarns come from Greece, which means that Pyjamam sleepwear is made from 100% EU origin cotton, something that's extremely rare.

As it was important to keep everything as ecological as possible, Pyjamam sleepwear is also produced in Europe, more precisely in the Czech Republic which is very close to our home base in Germany.

Next in the Pyjamam sleepwear creation process is the dying and printing of Pyjamam designs or styles, which is done through OEKO-Tex certified dying.

The last steps before shipping to you are done in the Pyjamam home base in Munich, Germany. It's then transported by foot to a DHL mailbox and shipped to your place!

Fairly-made

Another aspect that was non-negotiable for Pyjamam was that moms would be feeding their babies in clothing that didn't hurt anyone on the way.

Thanks to the work of NIL Textile, the whole production process is done through a completely transparent supply chain and everyone involved in manufacturing is working with fair-trade standards and good conditions.

Pyjamam believes that young parents must progressively move away from fashion consumerism and educate the next generation to slow fashion being the goal.

Circular textile

For the Pyjamam ecological footprint to be as low as possible and to support the development of circular textile systems, the solution was to make Pyjamam sleepwear in a fabric that's 100% recyclable.

Indeed, NILCOTT® is a fabric that's part of a well-thought-through circular system, which means that all unused or worn-out fabric is recycled into new fabric. Throughout the manufacturing process, all unused fabric is transferred to a recycling system and can be turned into new fabric for further clothing manufacturing.

Once it's worn out or no longer used (for example once you're done nursing at night), Pyjamam sleepwear can also be dropped off for recycling and transformed into new fabric.
